Editor – Writing Coach
I have taught writing at a university level, am a published academic author and poet, and am an experienced editor who offers individual support at various stages of a writing project or proofreads the final written piece. I pay attention to the development of ideas, style, content, paragraph structure, grammar, and punctuation.
Since 2008, I have worked one-on-one with students studying Theology at graduate and undergraduate levels, especially those for whom English is not their first language and those who lack confidence in their academic writing for other reasons. I have edited several doctoral dissertations in Theology and have served as both a doctoral and masters thesis advisor at a Theology school. I am, therefore, especially skilled at offering writing assistance in Theology and Spirituality.
With a background in English Literature and Political Science, I have edited a dictionary of constitutional terms for a university Law department, the written work of Psychology and Philosophy students, as well as several personal memoirs by authors wanting to self-publish or seek out an established publisher for their manuscripts. Editing skills are transferrable to different disciplines and subject areas, and I have worked and studied across numerous fields.
