Grief Recovery
Grief accompanies many different forms of change and loss in life, whether it is the loss of a loved one through death, the loss experienced through separation, divorce, a significant move or job change or lay-off, or the less tangible losses that can be felt such as loss of trust, faith, or health.
The Grief Recovery Method® is an action-based program in which a trained specialist guides you to identify unhelpful perspectives on healing from loss, assists you in identifying your history of losses, and equips you to better understand your grief and to provides tools to address your significant losses, taking steps towards healing.
For more than forty years, across many countries and languages, the Grief Recovery Institute has been certifying specialists to help grievers navigate their challenges. Its programs are evidence-based. I am an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, equipped to assist individuals and groups in learning how to address their losses. This can be done online or in person. The individual program involves 7 sessions (usually weekly); the group program takes place over 8 sessions (usually weekly).

The Grief Recovery Method’s invitation to explore losses throughout one’s life helped me to address the cumulative effect of unresolved or unacknowledged grief. The method was enhanced by Faith’s compassionate and encouraging demonstration of its working in her life while she held space for me to grow through the process. One-on-one or in a group setting, Faith creates space that is welcoming and safe.
